Tuan Nguyen
Tuan Nguyen leads ottawa-conventions.com with a diverse background glued
by his innate passion for marketing. What makes him unique is his creativity
and unmatched level of dedication to the well-being of people, the community,
and organizations who engage him.
He began in 1993 with event planning for various community initiatives.
A big picture kind of person, he applied business practices to create
long-term alliance strategies for charitable organizations with various
private sector organizations. In 1998, he co-founded a non-profit organization
called Commerce and Administration Student Charity Organization (CASCO)
which has chapters in Ottawa and Montreal. From the success of CASCO,
Tuan was invited to work with many very successful professionals across
Canada through major charity initiatives. Tuan’s strategies and
leadership has helped fundraised over $1 million. He also brings to
the table strong financial knowledge from his education and experience
as an auditor at Welch and Company Chartered Accountants and technology
knowledge from his experiences in hi-tech sector (Nortel and Information
Interoperability Institute). He applies in his solutions strategies
developed by marketing specialists from Kellogg University, London Business
School, and Queen’s University. He currently sits on boards of
various charity organizations. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce
specializing in accounting.
Gregory P. Strong
Gregory has been developing communications campaigns for established
organizations, government agencies and emerging technology companies
for more than a decade. He is founding partner of ottawa-conventions.com,
a company he founded in 2001 that specializes in implementing strategic
initiatives on behalf of its clients. Before establishing ottawa-conventions.com,
Greg served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for Calian
Technology Ltd (TSE: CTY). He acted as the company’s primary liaison
with government departments and officials at the municipal, provincial
and federal levels. His mandate was to develop and implement corporate
strategies to boost the company’s image and manage relations with
its shareholders, prospective investors, customers and staff. In a fiercely
competitive high tech market, Greg raised the dynamic Kanata-based company’s
profile both nationally and internationally.
