 In addition
to the historic Rideau Canal which disects the entire region, Eastern
Ontario has an abundance of lakes, rivers and waterways. While still
in Ottawa, Rideau Canal and Ottawa River sightseeing boat cruises present
the sights and sounds of the capital from a different perspective.
Travel 1¼ hours east to Cornwall to Creg Quay Marina for evening
dinner on the St. Lawrence River. Cruises along the impressive St.
Lawrence River are offered at numerous towns along Highway 401 (or follow
scenic route Highway #2). Select Brockville, Rockport, Gananoque
or Kingston to be the base for a scenic boat cruise, varying between 1-3
hours, in the St. Lawrence River and 1000 Islands region. Other
must-see attractions along this route are Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg,
and Fort Henry in Kingston. Both spots situated on the banks of
the St. Lawrence River will give your clients a glimpse back in time to
the military and community life of the 1800’s in Upper Canada.
