If the event is being held at a hotel, it is usually possible to hold
rooms at a special rate for attendees. If the event is near a hotel
or group of hotels, it should be possible to do the same thing—large
conventions will often negotiate rates at a variety of hotels that meet
proximity requirements, giving attendees the option of anything from
a value-priced to luxury hotel, depending on the guest’s budget.
