A feature of many cities is a covered food market. This is a unique
site for medium sized staff recognition, galas, fundraisers, and other
sociable events.
Arrange and pay for several of the more popular food stands to be open
and serving their specialty, along with beverage stations, some of the
better market buskers, et cetera. Sound can be an issue, so plan audiovisual
needs well in advance. Sometimes tables and chairs are available, sometimes
extras will need to be rented. For a messaging event,
arrange several information stations throughout the market, preferably
near seating “islands.”
This venue goes over very well when an event has attracted a national
or international audience, as it transmits the flavors of the destination
city.
