We’re closer than you think! Ottawa is easily accessible by air, rail and highway. Our new pre clearance facility at the Ottawa International Airport makes travel to the United States quicker and easier. VIA Rail provides convenient daily train service to other major centres. Both the rail and bus terminals are located minutes from the downtown core.

Getting here: Ottawa is easily accessible whichever mode of transportation you wish to use.

By Car: Several routes lead to Ottawa: Highway 417 from the east, Highways 416, 16 and 31 from the south, Highway 7 from the west, and Highway 17 from the northwest, as well as Highway 148 (Quebec) from the northeast.

By Air: The Ottawa International Airport [(613) 248-2000] is located toward the south of the city, and is accessible via the Airport Parkway. Airport bus and taxi services are available. Assistance to travellers is available at the airport at the Travellers’ Aid kiosk: (613) 248-2125

is another point of origin for international flights. Connecting flights and a two-hour bus shuttle to Ottawa are available. As well, Ottawa is only 55 minutes by air from Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

The train station is located in the southeast of the city at 100 Tremblay Road, just off the Queensway. The local transit company, OC Transpo, is steps away from the terminal. Taxi service is readily available, and limousine service may be booked. By bus: the Ottawa region is serviced by Voyageur Colonial Bus Lines and Greyhound from the bus stations at 265 Catherine Street in Ottawa and 238 St. Joseph Boulevard in Hull. There is hourly service from Montreal and several runs from Toronto (including express service). There are daily services to many other points.

Adults and seniors: Monday to Friday 6:30 to 8:59 a.m. $3.50 or three 75 cent tickets. If using Adult or student Transpass or Senior Pass, top up of $1.25 or 1 ticket is required. All other times, including Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays $2.25 cash or two 75 cent tickets.
